The Design and Construction Preparations After meeting with our expert staff representatives to discuss your unique requests and requirements for a pool, an on-board designer will begin drafting blueprints and drawings to show you precisely how the pool will be located in your property’s landscape. We will then stake out the pool, so that you may "get the feel" of its dimensions. Only after both you and Superior’s construction manager have determined that the site has best met your needs and requests will we begin the ground breaking.

The Course of Action When digging the pool, we will use the latest excavation equipment and will prepare your property for the progression of construction. To ensure the sturdiest pool possible, we use steel reinforcing on the sides and bottom of the pool, almost like a steel box, to line the excavation site. The plumbing will then be connected, using durable and efficient materials to provide clean, purified water. Once we are convinced we have done all that we can to set a great foundation, we begin applying a special mix of gunite, a substance like concrete, that will bind tightly around the steel to give the pool basin it’s ultimate strength.

The Finishing Touches The Superior team will next install the coping, a grout-like sealant, around the perimeter of the pool, setting and leveling it with great care. Accentuating, decorative tile is then expertly laid and leveled to the inside of the pool, to give your pool it’s beautiful "finished" look. Professionally certified and licensed electricians will hook up your pool equipment to your main electrical service. To complete the look of your new aquatic landscape, you may choose from a wide selection of pool deck surfaces and colors that will be laid down. The final stage in your pool’s construction is the application of the hand-troweled waterproof plaster finish. Once this dries, it’s time to fill the pool with sparkling water!
